When W. L. Ham approaches the Nagual Lujan Matus for insight into enigmatic events that have marked his awareness, what he learns revolutionizes everything he thought he knew. Realizing that he has found an authentic guide, Bill enters into a intensive apprenticeship and directly begins to experience the multiplex of luminous interactivity that is our living matrix as never before. Like countless others, Bill had been galvanized when concepts like "the energy double', "dreaming awareness', and "first and second attention', were introduced in the 1960s. Exploring these fascinating propositions in his own waking and dreaming life, he is faced with discoveries and challenges utterly unaccounted for by conventional definitions of reality. Bill begins faithfully documenting his exchanges with Lujan, and the result is a most extraordinary manual on the crucial yet little understood subject of reclaiming our dimensional sovereignty. A friendly flow of dialogue belies the gravity of this material, as Lujan deftly elucidates the very fabric of existence with humble yet unequivocal authority. These are no second-hand sorcery tales but genuine revelations from a seer bound by his inevitability to communicate what he knows. Describing the innermost workings of the holographic universe with rare precision, these teachings decode riddles of perception that have long been surrounded with confusion, providing a luminous bridge to our inter-dimensional potential as human beings. The sometimes-alarming nature of what Lujan reveals is tempered by the multifaceted affirmation that the key to finding freedom lies in truly applying ourselves to the moment that continually escapes us, guided only by that most precious instrument of divination, our heart. 1. Will he truly be happy tending to routine coughs and colds for the rest of his career? After all, even when a more challenging case comes along, like a rare tropical disease, all he can do is pass it on to a qualified specialist or big-city hospital. Barry's mentor, Doctor Fingal Flahertie O'Reilly, is going through some personal upheavals as well. After mourning his deceased wife for decades, he's finally allowed a new woman into his life. But this budding courtship is not going over well with Kinky Kincaid, the doctors' redoubtable housekeeper, who fears having her position usurped by O'Reilly's new flame. Meanwhile, life goes on in Ballybucklebo, presenting both doctors with plenty of distractions from their own troubles. Inside you will hear about.... An American is born The little magician Van Buren enters the national stage President Jackson’s right-hand man Van Buren’s turn In and out of the White House The legacy of the little magician And much more! From his earliest involvement in government, Van Buren was committed to the nurturing of political parties as a way to deliver the most effective leadership to the American people. He was a loyal supporter of President Andrew Jackson, but when Van Buren took office, he inherited the financial crisis that Jackson’s policies had helped to create. The Panic of 1837 brought the economic prosperity of the country to a screeching halt, and ultimately, Van Buren, who was not re-elected for a second term, paid the price. I have yet to meet someone that that does not think about gaining promotion at work. Even those who are completely incompetent in their jobs still long for promotion! Amazingly you and I can testify to the fact that many incompetent people hold positions for which they are not qualified. The second thing I would say is that many times as believers we may doubt whether God is actually interested in our work. In fact we call our work “secular”. We fail to understand that anything a holy person does, in line with God's will is actually an holy act. When Paul was making and selling tents in Acts 18 was that secular or holy? Therefore if our acts are holy our work life is holy, then God is interested in what we do and how we do at work. Speaking about being capable; there is no reason why a believer should be incompetent at work. I do actually believe that we ought to be the best in our workplaces; positioned as good colleagues; good manager and good workers. The Bible has a lot to say about being promoted and how somebody can begin to excel in the workplace. The Bible says humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God and in due season he will lift you up; also another scripture says that promotion does not come from the east or the west but that promotion comes from God. God is always interested in promoting his people. You just need to remember the story of Joseph to understand that God wants us to excel even in difficult times. Joseph was a man in slavery at Potiphar's house; yet he excelled in his job. Even when he went into prison, he still excelled and God used those circumstances to promote him to next in command to Pharaoh. One thing for sure; God wants us to be blameless and spotless at work so that our promotion will not draw undue negative attention and thereby misrepresent Christ. As long as we are diligent at work and trust God for our needs promotion will definitely come. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Richard Frances. In just a decade and half Jack Ma, a man who rose from humble beginnings and started his career as an English teacher, founded and built Alibaba into the second largest Internet company in the world. The company's $25 billion IPO in 2014 was the world's largest, valuing the company more than Facebook or Coca Cola. Alibaba today runs the e-commerce services that hundreds of millions of Chinese consumers depend on every day, providing employment and income for tens of millions more. A Rockefeller of his age, Jack has become an icon for the country's booming private sector, and as the face of the new, consumerist China is courted by heads of state and CEOs from around the world.Granted unprecedented access to a wealth of new material including exclusive interviews, Clark draws on his own first-hand experience of key figures integral to Alibaba's rise to create an authoritative, compelling narrative account of how Alibaba and its charismatic creator have transformed the way that Chinese exercise their new found economic freedom, inspiring entrepreneurs around the world and infuriating others, turning the tables on the Silicon Valley giants who have tried to stand in his way.Duncan explores vital questions about the company's past, present, and future: How, from such unremarkable origins, did Jack Ma build Alibaba? What explains his relentless drive and his ability to outsmart his competitors? With over 80% of China's e-commerce market, how long can the company hope to maintain its dominance? As the company sets its sights on the country's financial and media markets, are there limits to Alibaba's ambitions, or will the Chinese government act to curtail them? And as it set up shop from LA and San Francisco to Seattle, how will Alibaba grow its presence and investments in the US and other international markets?Clark tells Alibaba's tale within the wider story of China's economic explosion-the rise of the private sector and the expansion of Internet usage-that haver powered the country's rise to become the world's second largest economy and largest Internet population, twice the size of the United States. He also explores the political and social context for these momentous changes. An expert insider with unrivaled connections, Clark has a deep understanding of Chinese business mindset. He illuminates an unlikely corporate titan as never before, and examines the key role his company has played in transforming China while increasing its power and presence worldwide.
Forced to provide for his family from the age of 8 and thrown out of his home in the midst of a bitter Moscow winter at age 12, cellist Gregor Piatigorsky's humble beginning in turn-of-the-century Russia establishes him as the archetype of the struggling artist. Using an ever-changing collection of second-hand and borrowed instruments, Piatigorsky was just beginning to reach the notice of Moscow's elite when the October Revolution force his escape to Warsaw, where he enjoyed moderate success with the Warsaw Philharmonic. He relocated to Berlin a few months later and again struggled in poverty before eventually emerging as solo cellist with the Berlin Philharmonic. Whereas Piatigorsky's whimsical autobiography Cellist left off in mid-career, this book provides an all-embracing chronicle of Piatigorsky's tempestuous life and career, finally revealing the full life story of one of the twentieth century's greatest musicians.
